Jealousy

This is kind of a quote, and it kind of isn't.  But I thought it would work anyway.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

This poem/quote makes me jealous because I wish that I had come up with it so I could become famous.

IHDNAG

I keep forgetting to make my bed.  And to do my homework.  And to always say please and thank you.

I forget the little things.  As well as some big things.  I keep forgetting why i'm here, and what i'm supposed to do.

We are all here for a purpose, but sometimes that purpose is blocked by all our questions.

We forget that it doesn't matter who you are, where you are from, what you have done, or what you are doing now.  We all have the potential to do some good to this world.  So the question isn't When will my time come?

The real question is When will we own ourselves completely.

Everyone has their own excuses.  And those people with excuses are the ones that will not shine in this world but diminish in their own sadness and regret.

Death takes form in different ways.  The most obvious one, of course is physical death.  But what happens when death finds your passion, or your inspiration?  That is what happens to the people who lose sight of the light and fall into an abyss of darkness.

I've made my fair share of wrong choices.  Many of which have made it harder for me to see the light.  But there is not a single choice that you can make that will block the light completely.  Only your excuses to be lazy instead of exceed to your full potential can do that.

If I have learned one thing in my 17 years of existence, it is that everyone dies.  Sometimes death finds us sooner than expected.  So why waste your days in misery making up excuses when that day could very well be your last.

This post probably makes no sense to most people.  Hell, it doesn't even make much sense to me.  But interpret as you want.  The point is, tonight is not the last time I will see the light.

Film Analysis

The Sandlot

OW:  Scotty Smalls is an ordinary kid who has just moved into a new town just before school gets out for the summer.  At first it is hard for him to make friends, but eventually a boy named Ben Rodriguez takes him under his wing and becomes friends with him.  He teaches him how to play baseball and lets him join their team.
Call:  One summer afternoon the team finds themselves in trouble when they run out of baseballs to play with.  Scotty remembers that he had seen a baseball in his dad's trophy room.  He quickly runs home and ignores the signature that is marked on the ball.  Scott is up to bat first and on the second pitch to his horror, he smashes the ball over the fence.  He then tells the rest of the team that it was signed by Babe Ruth and they realize they have to find a way to get it back.  The only problem, a giant monster dog lives on the other side of the fence.
Refusal:  At first Scotty is so shocked that all he can do is lay down and think that he is dead.
Mentor:  Benjamin is the mentor in this movie.  No matter how tough or bad things get, he always gives Smalls confidence and never puts him down.  He is always thinking of ways to try and help him.
Threshold:  Scotty and the team start building contraptions and thinking of other ways to get the ball back from the beast.  They try again and again but nothing seems to work.
Tests, Allies, Enemies:  The only enemy in the movies is the beast dog because he has the ball and won't give it back.  The entire baseball team are Scotty's allies.  One big test is how they are going to get the ball back without getting killed.
Approach:  Ben finally realizes that the only way they can get the ball back is if someone jumps over the fence on their own and retrieve the ball by hand.
Ordeal:  On the night before the big event Benny receives a revelation.  Babe Ruth appears to him in a dream and tells him what he has to do.  He tells him just to jump the fence and grab the ball.  He also gives Benjamin some very good words of advice that stick with him through the rest of his life.  "Heros get remembered, but legends never die."
Reward:  After jumping the fence and retrieving the ball from the dog, everything falls right into place.  The old man who owns the dog trades them a way better baseball for theirs, they become friends with the dog, and Scotty ends up only getting in a little trouble.  Also Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez goes to the MLB when he grows up.
The Road Back:  The boys go back to their ordinary lives of playing baseball at the Sandlot again.  Eventually they all move away and lose connections with each other.

Ordinary World

Master Chief was just an ordinary guy living in an ordinary town going to an ordinary school.  In fact, there was nothing special about his life at all.  You could even say it was amazing how ordinary his life was.  That is until some not so ordinary happened.  One day, while roaming about the forrest on a casual walk, Master Chief stumbled upon an abnormally large egg.  Little did he know, what was inside this strange egg would change his life.  What was in it you ask?  Well I suppose I could tell you without ruining the story.  Inside this egg was the last Yeti on Earth.

How will this creature change his life?  Will it be friendly or end up killing everyone?  How did this egg end up in the middle of the forrest?

Found Poem

The Posies:  Its Great To Be Here Again
It 's easy livin' in the house of your dreams
Wall to wall with every trophy you don't need
All the players say the damndest things
Making time for the camera 16 minutes can bring

Hands tied, put them up in the air
And load it down like you probably don't care
The whole world is starting to share
In a sense all the senseless events happen here
Yeah, it's great to be here again
Where the saints all sing along
I hope the party never ends

Act now and you'll play for it later
Chill out before you learn how to hate her
It's too late to take it all back while you wait for the top of the ladder to crack

Order up!
This one's for the kiddies
They don't care now and they never Diddy
Holy water is under the bridge to the future we're burning to get to the fridge

Yeah, it's great to be here again
Where the saints all sing along
I hope the party never ends

Yeah, it's great to be here again
Where the saints all sing along
I hope the party never ends

A ryhming dictionary and a bag of chicken
A pin button puffin starting to thicken
Most extreme eliminatin' the rival teams
A midget mercenary married to a Wiccan

Hell yeah, it's great to be here again
Where the saints all sing along
I hope the party never ends

I like the scene, I like the sound, I like the way that we pretend
While the saints all sing along
Hope the party never ends!
(I'm glad we're still friends I hoping that it won't end; I'm in love with the fight I'm breakin those who won't bend)

Hands tied
It used to be easy living,  now your dreams are burning to the ground
The whole world is staring senseless at you
They don't care and they never did

Hoping the party would never end was your only concern
It's too late to take it all back
Now you're paying for your actions
There are no sounds, no scenes, no saints
Hell is here

I hope the party never ends
